The lyrics are a hodge-podge of irreverently reverent one-liners, creating a big picture of this Universe, Reality, Love, Life, God, Christ and the Bible that you and your family and friends can sing and dance along to.
The vocals and music mesh together in a rollicking bump-n-grind harmonic rhythm that may put you in the mood to burn up the dance floor with God on your side, and start a fire for the Holy Spirit with your honey in bed – if you’re sick, twisted and loving Jesus.

If you like stoopid rhymes for God, you’ll love the video – it features me acting, singing and dancing like an idiot, or at least a fool for Christ. To keep myself humble, give a nod to good taste, interest polite society, pay a decent respect to the opinions of man-and-womankind, and show off my class, in the video I’m rocking a douche swoosh and two collared, button down, long-sleeved shirts (one wardrobe change).
Perhaps in a future video or performance I’ll wear two collared shirts at the same time, to double my style, for all my fave fans, haters and biters. If you see it elsewhere, you heard it here first. Yes, I am a parody of myself – how did i get so lucky, you ask?
The video music mix has an extra-special flavor of noise from iPhone playback and mouth-along during recording. Personally, I like it better than the original – it’s likely to be the more popular version of the song.
The Weeds in the Scriptures
Other than being pro-Jesus, pro-freedom, ridiculous and mocking and opening the small minds, hypocritical plank-filled eyes and finger-pointing, judgmental, Phariseeic fundamentalist ‘Christianity’, the lyrics to the Stumbling Stoned song aren’t relevant to the current debate in the civilized world over the morality or legalization of marijuana for medicinal, industrial, manufacturing, recreational and other uses. However, using the power of government and wealth to persecute, malign and oppress (disfiguratively crucify) people for wanting to use a plant – a plant that has many practical and beneficial uses, including foods, textiles, oils, medicines, religious/spiritual practices, and recreational diversions, a plant with a history of human use dating to 3000 BCE – does seem like a small-minded, bigoted, prejudiced, worldly, ungodly, unloving, unkind and unchristian thing to do.
WWJD? Did Jesus tell his followers to judge others? If you’re going to judge others, he said take the plank out of your eye first, so you can see clearly to remove the marijuana shake dust from your brother’s eye. Actually, even better – let the person with no Pot-plank in their eye in the first place be the first to cast a stoner.
He will be a holy place; for both Israel and Judah he will be a stone that causes people to stumble and a rock that makes them fall. And for the people of Jerusalem he will be a trap and a snare. Many of them will stumble; they will fall and be broken to pieces, they will be snared and captured. Isaiah 8:14-15
